Visual Inspection of Cathodes: CSQA

Analizador de Calidad Superficial de Cátodos, CSQA (Cathode Surface Quality Analyzer) CSQA is an acronym which stands for Cathode Surface Quality Analyzer.

This technology is based on the use of electronic cameras to capture an image of a moving cathode. This image is processed by algorithms that determine the quality of each cathode. Depending on this quality assessment, different actions can be taken, such as classifying the inspected cathodes.

The CSQA technology has been succesfully integrated into both ISA Process® and Kidd Process®.

Characteristics inspected by CSQA

Características Inspeccionadas One of the features of the CSQA technology is that it identifies and assesses specific characteristics of the copper cathodes. These characteristics include roughness, nodules and stains, among others. Given that the cathode has two very different surfaces, one smooth and the other rough, there are important differences in the attributes that are identified on each face. More information

proCCat

proCCat The proCCat project is an application of the CSQA technology. This is a very complete and extensive project because aside from inspecting cathodes, the system can feed cathodes to the inspection cameras by itsef and segregate them into different packages according to their classification. SICC

SICC The SICC project uses the CSQA technology to inspect cathodes that are moving over a conveyor chain on the exit line of the Stripping Machine. More Information.
